The birth of ENTERTAINMENTPLUS came from the merging of entrepreneurial and entertainment industry experience of the former owner of Bronxwood Productions, Jack “Chip” Blakney, also known as Kool Chip. In an effort to expand his passion, experience, and knowledge, he launched the multi-media company, ENTERTAINMENTPLUS, a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to showcasing the best comedy talent across various platforms. At ENTERTAINMENTPLUS, we understand the importance of laughter in our lives. Comedy has the power to uplift spirits, bridge divides, and bring joy to people from all walks of life. Our mission is to amplify the voices of comedians and bring their humor to audiences worldwide.
ENTERTAINMENTPLUS envisions a world where comedy thrives as a universal language, breaking down barriers and fostering connections between people. With Mr. Blakney’s history in the entertainment industry, along with earning an Associate’s degree in Visual Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, his experience and training will serve entertainers with executive-level management and promotions.
Technology has allowed Mr. Blakney’s worlds to combine through ENTERTAINMENT PLUS. With his background in the digital media and graphic design, coupled with his entrepreneurial drive, he is building a company that will continue to expand to different levels and media platforms to cover the world while you watch!

JACK BLAKNEY “CHIP”
Jack “Chip” Blakney is a longtime stand-up comedy promoter and entertainment
personality who has been involved in the stand-up comedy scene since 1987. In 1996, he began showcasing comedic talent every Friday night at the legendary nightclub called “Lady Eye” in the Northeast Bronx.
As a promoter, Chip has built a reputation for organizing lively comedy shows, booking
talented comedians, and marketing events that bring audiences together for nights of
laughter. His work has helped provide a stage for both emerging comics and established performers, contributing to the continued growth of live stand-up comedy in New York’s entertainment scene.
Throughout his career, Chip has worked with many rising and established performers who have passed through the New York City comedy circuit. His stand-up comedy showcases have become a consistent platform for comedians to develop their craft while entertaining crowds throughout New York City.
With decades in the business, Jack “Chip” Blakney continues to support stand-up comedy by producing shows, connecting comedians with audiences, and keeping the spirit of live comedy thriving.
